CADIZ, Ky. – S&K Powder Coating Inc., is officially expanding its operation into western Kentucky, as the Bowling Green based powder coating and custom fabrication company will be opening its doors in Cadiz, KY in 2015. An official opening date has not been set, but all signs point to January or early February for a grand opening.
S&K will be operating out of a 7,500 square-foot facility at 102 Clay Street, located just off Glenwood Mill Road in Cadiz. The facility will house batch ovens, a large powder coating booth, along with a full sandblast room.
The new Cadiz facility will specialize in heavy industrial and agriculture work, while also offering residential jobs, which includes refurbishing household items, patio furniture, automotive parts and much more.
Powder coating is quickly becoming the industry standard in the metal industry when it comes to painting. The curing elements in the powder coating process allows for maximized durability and prevents against rust. The process is commonly seen in the automotive world, being used commonly on rims, frames and other miscellaneous parts.
While S&K specializes in powder coating, the company also offers custom fabrication, which includes custom-designed wrought iron handrails, fencing, gates and even patio furniture. S&K prides itself on being a one-stop shop, providing design, fabrication, powder coating and full installation.
Since opening its doors in Bowling Green in 2011, S&K Powder Coating has quickly expanded its reach, opening up a new facility in the Bowling Green area in 2014. The new facility more than doubled the previous building, and has allowed the company to fully operate with three batch ovens, including a new 12x12x24 industrial-sized oven that was also completed in 2014. The new facilities have allowed S&K to receive consistent work throughout the entire state of Kentucky, along with portions of middle Tennessee.
